- Have seen references to the mothers feeling they couldn't support a child. They were poor, uneducated, minority, whatever. If that's true then they had to know they could not support a child and were going to abort a lot sooner than this. WHY WAIT SO LONG?

- If the parents had left and not immediately gotten an evaluation of their son at another hospital I would question it. Since they did and were cleared at the second facility the police and CPS needed to find a genuine case of neglect to deal with.
